Nam Dinh Vu push up the implementation of rooftop solar power projects

Currently, the exploitation of natural resources on an unsustainable scale has caused many negative impacts on the environment such as biodiversity decline; environmental pollution; global climate change… simultaneously implicating many other complex social issues, affecting economic opportunities for future generations. To solve this problem, the “green growth” model becomes an inevitable choice and a goal that every country is aiming for, including Vietnam.

By using environmental protection methods in the production process, ensuring environmentally friendly principles, actively preventing and treating pollution, attach special importance to the development of green energy sources such as rooftop solar power; wind energy; hydroelectric energy… This is the optimal approach, towards the harmonious development of socio-economic with the restoration and conservation of natural ecosystems.

Therefore, in order to contribute to the implementation of the common goal of the country, Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park is also transforming to become a green industrial park by quickly accelerating the implementation of rooftop solar power projects.

Rooftop solar power – the solution to Vietnam’s Green Growth

1. Solar power is a clean and sustainable source of energy

Solar power is a renewable, permanent, environmentally friendly source of energy, it does not cause pollution to the environment, and is not exhausted while most electricity is generated by burning fossil fuels such as coal and natural gas, generating electricity using solar or other renewable resources such as wind and hydropower will not produce any carbon dioxide emissions or air pollutants.

Moreover, the extraction and use of fossil fuels are not only expensive but also harmful to the environment. On the contrary, the energy source coming from the sun is free and  abundant, renewable, and contains zero emissions.

2. Rooftop solar power helps reduce pressure on power investment

Using solar power has many advantages such as: No need to use on the large land area; effective heat resistance for equipment-pressed works; rooftop solar power is connected to low- and medium-voltage power grids, without the need to invest in transmission grid systems, so the investment cost is low; It reduces the overload of the transmission grid from traditional power sources.

Solar panels will convert photovoltaics into electricity, when synthesized many panels will produce very large currents, up to thousands of VDC, thereby being able to conduct electricity generation and provide a power source for operating plants, implementation of production activities…help households and businesses reduce monthly electricity bills. Using rooftop solar power systems not only saves costs but also contributes to reducing pressure on electricity investment, reducing environmental pollution.

3. Solar power use reduces greenhouse effect

Greenhouse gases are produced when burning fossil fuels, leading to rising global temperatures and climate change. This causes serious environmental and public health problems around the world. Producing electricity with solar energy to replace fossil fuels will significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions, especially carbon dioxide (CO2).

4. Solar power helps protect public health

An analysis by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) has shown that widespread use of electricity from solar energy can significantly reduce nitrogen oxides, sulfur dioxide, and particulate matter emissions – all of which can cause human health problems. NREL also found that solar power helps reduce cases of chronic bronchitis, respiratory and cardiovascular problems.

Rooftop solar power project at Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park

On the afternoon of November 23, 2021, under the witness of the British Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City – Ms. Emily Hamblin, Sao Do Group successfully organized the signing ceremony of the business contract of Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park Rooftop Solar Power Project, with the participation of representatives of Nam Dinh Vu Electricity Trading Joint Stock Company and Shire Oak International Ltd (SOI).

It can be said that the upcoming rooftop solar power project in Nam Dinh Vu industrial park is one of the great efforts of Nam Dinh Vu and its partners to contribute to Vietnam’s economic growth, contributing to the country’s common goal of building a green and sustainable economy. At the same time, with this project, Nam Dinh Vu also aims to protect the environment and create conditions for investors to use clean energy sources.

In the near future, Nam Dinh Vu, Sao Do Group, and partners will continuously support each other to complete the project on schedule, bringing more sustainable development solutions for businesses, as well as promoting the economic development of Hai Phong city in general and of Vietnam in particular.
